Thread: Administering mySQL database


hi, in process of beginning development project small company. me use mysql database , php/javascript create in-house system keeping track of customers etc.

iv played php/mysql before using xampp(sp?) , seem remember there kind of web based front end mysql (and maybe php?) , wondering if came xampp or if exists normal part of mysql can installed via synaptic.

i'm wondering best way set machine since ill working on machine while - not live @ moment there no worry in regard.

don't have specs yet, outline, 1 thing clear: each customer have great many records grow on time , i'm wondering if there preferred method of setting database deal this. don't think there tens of thousands of customers, there many thousands of records per customer , id things responsive possible.

advice @ helpful @ stage have idea aiming this, particularly best way store customer records, which, say, grow constantly.
