access forbidden!    don't have permission access requested directory. there either no index document or directory read-protected.    if think server error, please contact webmaster.    error 403    localhost  sat dec 31 15:54:06 2011  apache/2.2.21 (linux/suse)
before ask, permissions set @ 777.

well you're reaching server. there index? if there is. documentroot pointing right directory?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
