Thread: AR9285 no scan results on Lucid

hallo,
bought acer aspire 5250 notebook , installed kubuntu lucid on it. have problem wireless card atheros ar9285. intergrated in system (what think) properly, not return scan results "sudo iwlist scan", other netbook returns 10 cells. assumption there defect in network card, send notebook manufacturer returned hint there no hardware software-problem. still don't trust that!
i've tested kubuntu 11.04 disk - same result.
i'll attach output of various command, can't see problem. perhaps give me hint or how can further verify if there hard or soft problem - or me solve probelm.

eth0 interface doesn't support scanning.
wlan0 no scan results

network manager gives preference wired ethernet if it's available. please detach ethernet cable, give system few moments notice change in state , try again:
