Thread: Autorun Digikam when Camera Switched On

i'm testing digikam on both 10.10 , 11.10. on 10.10 have configure usb camera not mount when switched on - there can import photos via digikam. have done via config-editor apps/nautilus/preferences - untick media_automount. can switch camera on , import photos - problem when first did , had option choose app launch when media plugged in ignored , cannot back. i'm not sure possible - have configured ubuntu not mount media perhaps not possible 'tell' ubuntu launch particular app? if possible how digikam launch? on 11.10 cannot equivalent of unticking media_automount. have installed configuration editor when in apps/nautilus/preferences media_autorunxxxxx options unticked - when click on of them i'm told key documentation key has no schema. when run digikam in 11.10 , switch camera on should see it/something via import/cameras - there nothing (camera) there. need able switch auto mounting off in 11.10 when camera switched on - think!

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
