hello,

i'm new ubuntu, , have desperately been trying webcam work. have gear head wc735i webcam, , on ubuntu 11.10. plugged in, , working cheese, not work @ www.testmycam.com or similar service. not recognized when enter "lsusb".

if webcam works in cheese, sounds being detected computer.

if try:

code:
sudo lsusb -v
the camera should listed, can try:

code:
sudo lsusb -v | grep camera  sudo lsusb -v | grep webcam
to filter output.

regard testmycam.com - able click "allow" box in flash applet? sounds more flash problem issue webcam.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
