Thread: Monitor Resolution Problems

my current monitor resolution lower should be, supposed set @ 1440x900 @ 1024x768 , whenever go "display" application lets me choose between , 800x600. has happened before , fix found re-installation of ubuntu. please help.

by "display" application, mean monitor preferences?

sounds hardware problem. open additional drivers (while connected internet). display proprietary drivers?

if so, try enabling them , restart. if not, i'm sorry, don't know next.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
