Thread: Moving folders recursively

hi

i'm looking recursive 'find' command lets me move folders starting '(' character folder in same parent folder.

have music folders organised like

a
abba
(2001) blabla
(2002) blabla234
album
atb
(1999) happy sound
album
b
beyonce
(2011) new music
album

goal move folders starting '(' album folder in same parent folder. source folder can contain spaces.

can help?

sorry, i'm possibly being thick don't quite understand you're after, can give example. instance a/abba/(2001)\ blabla/ folder moving too?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
