Thread: No option to boot Ubuntu at start up anymore


i have been using ubuntu while , part thought pretty @ installing , running operating systems , stuff , well, guess not. hard drive had 2 partitions, 1 windows 7 , 1 ubuntu , it'd give me option boot ubuntu. decided reinstall windows 7 because of registry errors , such when did option ubuntu gone assumed had on written partition. so, ran live cd , when clicked install , went through first 2 steps told me ubuntu 11.10 installed. if partition still there i'd able access because one, live cd ubuntu 11.04 , two, don't want lose files, there way can still access partition? appreciated, thanks.

ubuntu still installed windows 7. windows has installed it's own bootloader has overwritten grub, bootloader comes ubuntu , use select operating sytem.
