Thread: Rhythmbox and Banshee problem

hi,

1. if try , play music 'music' folder (inside 'my home' folder) neither rbox or banshee recognizes music. songs listed 'track numbers' only.

2. if right click on particular cd in music folder there no option choose either rbox or banshee play image viewer have right click on each track or select tracks right click play them. , banshee can play selected tracks, rbox can select 1 track @ time play.

3. prefer use rbox seems have better sound banshee does.
4. how make rbox 'default' music player , how open , play folder containing tracks rather having select 1 track @ time.?

5. great frustrating playing music way.

hope makes sense!

i'm not sure music files , made r.box default doing following .

1. removed banshee
2. removed banshee residual configuration synaptic package manager
3. installed rhythmbox
4. opened system info > default applications
5. selected rhythmbox music drop-down menu

after logging out , in banshee no longer appeared in panel volume applet , replaced rhythmbox.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
