Thread: Ubuntu search isn't recursive and finds nothing


when browse folder, has other folders files, use search feature upper right of open window. type name, or word or phrase, doesn't search except parent directory, finds nothing in subdirectories.

how make search recursive? (which in opinion should default function)

works 100% ok on 11.10 test system running gnome 3, type in string , (after searching disk) files/folders have match displayed.
