adobe premiere elements 9 problem installing on windows 8

have tried list info possible below including scereenshots regards problems have had when have tried install premiere 9 on samsung laptop

the system details are:-

np355v5c a0e uk amd a8-4500m apu radeon hd7640g  graphics 1tb hdd acpi x64 system 6 gb ram. have managed install photoshop elements 9 no problems when attempting install premiere 9 through initial instal screen

pressing pre brings up

choose setup.jpg

press ok  installer starts flags image below.

pressing 'ok above stops process , far have managed install.

 

i have tried run administrator( although administrator on computer).

i have tried going through clean boot.

i have closed other programs including norton.

i have tried run in compatability mode throws error.

i have tried install on computer ( 5 year old acer 2 gb ram ) , installer goes beyond point stalls on samsung.

i sure must missing simple somewhere appreciated

 

! edit ! have copied files dvd c drive , tried there same results.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
