Can't install Premiere Elements 4

i've tried @ least 5 times install pe4 laptop no avail.  each time, same error occurs , whole thing backtracks.  i've tried copying dvd hard drive , installing dirrectly, i've tried defragmenting pc, i've tried clean booting pc before installing, i've scanned disc files virises , corruption.  i'm out of ideas.  frustrating.

what error receiving?

 

which operating system trying install pse4 on?

 

since pse4 such ancient software, may incompatible computer system.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
