Dialog Boxes stuck on full screen mode in ID4

i run indesign cs4 on 15-inch hp elitebook 8560 connected 2 20-inch monitors running @ 1600 x 900 dpi.

usually, indesign occupies left of 2 monitors.

occasionally telework @ home on a  single 27-inch monitor.

the computer has no trouble distinguishing between 2 setups.

when "save as" in indesign cs4, file name , location dialog box takes full screen of  20-inch monitor.

i try dragging lower right hand corner mouse, nothing works make screen smaller.  if move mouse upper right or upper edge of screen , click-drag, stays @ full screen.

if undock laptop , use screen, @ higher resolution, still cannot drag corners of dialog box away edges of screen.

 

 

are there preferences or keyboard shortcuts use solve this?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
