Downloaded Flash Player many times, still prompted to download

every time try watch video, prompt download latest version of adobe flash player (11.7-something).  have done repeatedly on past several days still prompt.  have chrome downloaded on computer.  tried uninstalling flash version, rebooting computer , getting repetitious because nothing works.  i'm wasting way of time trying work.  what's going on?

 

how can computer hold update i've taken time run.

 

do have use chrome now, not internet explorer, every time want watch video?  not use chrome.

sorry hear challenges face.

 

adobe flash player directly integrated google chrome , enabled default. window 8 + internet explorer 10 comes integrated flash player. so need not installation or updates google chrome or window 8 +ie 10 combo.

 

but other os versions , browsers, need update (automatically or manually based on installation setup) flash player.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
