Gathering Infomation on Opening Welcome Sceen never finishes. Please Help

on photoshop elements 9 welcome page "gathering infomation" thing never finishes.   can correct this?  1 answered question in past can't find answer in these forums and   don't remember told me do.

 

anyone can please respond.  thank in advance.

the solution stop using welcome screen. go program files (program files (x86) windows 64 bit systems)/applications folder , find actual .exe/application file editor and/or organizer, make shortcut/dock icon , use instead in future.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
