Import different photos with same filename

i installed photoshop elements 11 , want use pse 11 organizer manage photos.  have 45,000 photos on harddrive organized in folders.  filenames of photos in these folders whatever default naming convention camera - img_00001.jpg etc.  can imagine possibility of having same filename different photos quite high.

 

my problem when want import these photos pse 11 error saying there duplicate photos , duplicates not being imported.  have lot of these conflicts , can't seem find option allow files imported.  there workarounds issue don't involve manually renaming conflicting files?  options here?

pse recognize differing camera exif data can’t question of same file name. genuine duplicates or have been created device e.g. scanner? if may need separate them new folders or sub folders.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
