Objects move when adding pages

when add/remove pages, or move pages around in document using pages panel, random objects on pages move. move slight amount, , stay page, annoying. never know objects move, , have spend lot of time trying find ones have moved. if move pages again, or add/remove pages, other random objects move. else have problem, or know how stop it?

what sort of objects? anchored in text or free-floating?   version of indesign? have updated latest patch?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
