Panel width problem after update...

last week ran updater, bringing illustrator version 16.0.3 on work pc running windows xp, (not os of choosing).  since then, side-docked panel layout of 1 of primary workspaces has grown wider before updating. after disassembling , attempting way was, find can't it...at least not long keep info panel @ top of stack, or anywhere in docked stack matter. other panels, (once un-docked), either snap minimum width, or border-drag resizable normal. not info panel though. fixed @ new wider size, , imposes width on other panel that's docked it.

 

just me? else?

did palette width fixed, needed drag left edge of palette right make palettes more narrow.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
