i have hp elitebook 8560p running ubuntu 10.10 maverick meekat trying wireless work on. below relevant information.
have ideas problem can be?

this information might you. on hp elitebook 8560p wireless based on (non free) firmware. error received followed: wireless firmware file missing, iwlwifi-6000g2a-6.ucode iwlwifi-6000g2a-5.ucode. error received on ubuntu 12.04 , 12.10 on debian 7.0 beta 4.

once connected laptop wired network able receive proprietary drivers fixed issue.
