Thread: Heartbeat config issues on a production server. ASAP help appreciated!

so have 2 identical servers running lamp stack drbd on them. have set drbd accept node1 , node2 properly. right have (internally) 10.10.1.51 working fine on http when hit it, this:

on node1 (10.10.1.51):
-stop apache2 services
-umount drbd0 data mount point (where lamp stack resides)
-switch drbd secondary.
-check http://10.10.1.51 , site down.

on node2 (10.10.1.52):
-switch drbd primary.
-mount drbd0 data mount point (where lamp stack is)
-start apache2 services
-check http://10.10.1.52 , site changes made on node1.

go through process opposite direction making change on node2 , replicates fine node1 when check website.

have heartbeat installed , trying things working on new virtual ip 10.10.1.50. when run heartbeat can see 10.10.1.50 , 51 when have node1 primary. pull power on node1 , node2 not take over. if manually switch node2 primary , keep heartbeat running on node2 node1 powered off can hit 10.10.1.52 50 doesn't work...i'm banging head against wall here. here configs, see wrong?

ubuntu version: 10.04.3 lts
installed both drbd , heartbeat, should updated.

anyone know i'm doing wrong here? works when switch manually, (except heartbeat doesn't broadcast vip when on node2), when shut down node1 falls apart. thought set correctly according every resource can find, suggestions? know i'm on here asking help, production environment , need find solution (we have no automated redundancy) asap if possible.

if there other configs need see, feel free ask, other thing can think of drbd.conf, i've established working manually.

on side note, copied exact server set-up on 2 machines @ home , removed drbd , heartbeat. downloaded lcmc , used load drbd, heartbeat, , pacemaker on clones, went through it's install , i'm still having same problem. works until it's heartbeat's turn it's job. i'm positive there wrong haresources file can't peg it.
