Thread: How to change USB Bus?


i have 2 identical usb-cameras. microsoft lifecam hd's. output of lsusb:

bus 002 device 015: id 045e:075d microsoft corp. lifecam cinema  bus 002 device 017: id 045e:075d microsoft corp. lifecam cinema
i need change bus of cams different ones because they're not working on same bus. i'm using motion , syslog says:
code:
error starting stream vidioc_streamon: no space left on device
according motion forum need connect 1 of cams different port change bus, i've tried of 12 usb ports , they're @ bus 002. found out it's because they're identical cams? possible change bus manually udev or similiar?

a "bus" hardware device in system. if usb ports use same hardware bus there little can it.

add-on usb card (should work) or usb plate/header plugs spare usb connector on motherboard (probably work).
