Thread: Playlist or Play 'em?

i think know answer difference between playing playlist , songs in music player.

know playlist text file.

if open music folder , --

mplayer *.mp3 vs

mplayer -playlist playlist.txt

using less system resources?

right have first version running , cpu usage around 20% (on old p3) , ram usage about
190mb.

i'm getting @ appears 6 1 half dozen other.

190mb has lubuntu + mplayer + current song

same (or close) playing "playlist" , right?

don't have sub folders or weird music setups -- 1 folder
mp3's want play.

that's right, it's not going try , cache every track have listed; should take no more nor less memory.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
