Thread: Ubuntu has stopped downloading software

what going on? until today, had no trouble downloading software ubuntu software center. yet now, no matter try download, stops within few seconds , gives me message saying "failed download package files. check internet connection." internet connection fine. when click ok, message: "requires installation of untrusted packages," no matter trying download.

there problem server somewhere? or computer? can fix this?

never mind, think have fixed it. wasn't neven able download upgrades, when clicked button refreshed cashe, seemed fix problem. still don't know if can download other software, appears problem has been fixed.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
