Thread: Ubuntu Too Slow On My Computer

i have amd sempron processor 3200+
1 gb ram
384mb nvidia nforce graphics
i'm running windows 7 32bit
installed ubuntu 11.10 (dual boot) , helll slow , hangs many times.i have restart computer time
cant figure out problem.
please help?

try lubuntu, xubuntu should work well.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
