Thread: Unable to login after crash

hi! using lubuntu half year without problems, today when doing calculations in wolfram mathematica crashed. showed same lines shows, when shutdowns , froze there. able write system did not respond of commands, shut down force. unable login. login session , write username , password, doesn't accept , asks me again username. used recovery mode see if happened user acount, username , password works fine in recovery mode , username still in passwd , shadow. appreciate if has idea do.

if can system there file called .xsession-errors in home folder. file may contain information why unable login.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
