i looking new video card.  monitor nec pa271, 30 bit.  processor intel i-7, 3770 16 megs of ram.  nvida quadro 600 or gtx 650 ti????

finally have to  answer:

 

ok, talking quadro , gtx, must aware that  former workstation gpu while latter more of gaming gpu.

 

you taking specs, , agree quadro seems less gtx  650 ti, worth mentioning quadro 600 entry-level workstation  gpu while gtx 650 ti mid-range gaming unit.

 

secondly, specs  not there quadro, because these machines build not speed  offer  super fps, gaming. quadro not made  offer high clock speeds, offer stability, focusing on heavy  opengl, , shading, lighting, texturing etc, , other terms consider  while working on 3d modelling, , animation. mentioned, looking to  work on opengl, should rather quadro, in case require  work on serious 3d designing , modelling have dedicated chip  task.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
