Alignment of Text box and drop down menu

hi, i'm using adobe acrobat pro xi create form. trying use drop-down list preformed sentences eliminate need type commonly used sentences. drop down list followed text box , unable align these 2 items after selection made. suggestions on how align these 2 boxes since length of drop-down text varies. attached image of trying do. want them select item , fill in second text box while maintaining paragraph format. in advance help!

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
