Background colour of floating image changed to blue.

i have image open in photoshop, rulers visible on 2 sides. pulled out bottom right hand side (as @ screen) have image float in background. background grey, it's turned blue. horrid! distracting! no idea how happened - unknowingly hit - neither can work out how return grey. out there?

if using recent version of photoshop, right clicking on blue area should bring menu select color.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
