Can't print locally with Photoshop Elements 11

i'm having issue trying print local printer.  printer hp officejet pro 8500a.  system hp touchsmart running windows vista 64-bit. i'm running photoshop elements 11.  when attempt print jpeg image fails , windows problem search starts up.  there no error messages - immediate failure , photoshop software shuts down.  i've reinstalled hp officejet drivers.  i've reinstalled photoshop elements nothing seems work.  printer attached wirelessly via wpa router.  other printout prints fine printer.  i'm @ loss.  have ideas?

could please try rename printer smaller name (ex. hp) , check it works.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
