Creating eye catching appealing graphics in Captivate

hello

 

i use captivate 5.5 , have access captivate 6. create online training tutorials our organisations computer programs. eager make these more visually appealing end user , unsure best program able in.

 

i wondering if illustrator worth try? can see online, in order illustrator graphics captivate need photoshop well? not have illustrator or photoshop though can them.

 

would have suggestions on program can use create creative appealing graphics can used (or imported) captivate?

are able quantify mean when "creative appealing graphics"? that's pretty nebulous. i've seen images sneer @ while others ask how created magnificent image. in own opinion, it's subjective least.

 

have tried looking @ services such istock photo? presentermedia?

keep in mind if did create using illustrator, able use captivate capture screen shot of it. there no need application. (assuming 1 required - i'm not convinced 1 be. think should able save in whatever format need. again, i'm clueless how works.)

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
