i use unstructured framemaker create user manuals convert pdf.

 

what best way convert manual use on touchscreen?

 

would best converting pdf, or may better suited robohelp?

hi, don't know touchscreen means? first of have think format/application. format supported machine? there specific requirements? how should content presented on touch screen manual? how users navigate through manual? how find content? etc. if know format, able analyse tool fits requirements best way? depending on requirements perhaps switching structured content way? using webworks epublisher instead of robohelp may alternative? there pdf conversion tools , more? without knowing concept, there lot of possibilities, lot of tools , technologies.markus

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
