Dreamweaver help in Layout design

hi,

 

i've been using dreamweaver past week , made major headway personal project have been having issues setting home page graphic design layout or if will. far examples i'm running off of tumblr.com's homepage , twitter.com's homepage. trouble comes when try set , image page background when go , pick on modify tab brings down option page properties , can add in picture background of website. picture seems out of focus or pixilated, of pictures use around 1600 pixels 1200 pixels. other problem ive been having trying create header seperated body , footer width, similiar way twitter has homepage set up. if possible love pointers.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
