elements 9

hi guys

i have big problem. elements 9 software has taken on desktop. has replaced other icons , allows me open elements ever icon click on. wondered if has encountered malfunction , solved problem. it's driving me crazy. tried downloading elements 10 trial version. created same effect. i've had uninstall elements 9 use computer normal.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
