Lightroom vs Lightroom CS6 creative cloud

i had lightroom 4.2 on laptop after got creative cloud subscription, uninstalled , installed cc version. today system says have lightroom 4.3 64 bit     (not lighroom 4.3 64bit cs6) (and indeed when open - offers update 4.4). meanwhile, adobe applications manager(for cc) says lightroom 4.4 date.

 

i updated, think best root uninstall lr , reinstall again cc. worry - possible? app manage "know" doing or lose lot?

 

the reason wanting cc versions of software obvious - automatic updates.

 

anyone else had same problem?

run creative suite cleaner tool, let aam reinstall.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
