Mac plugin blocked on Firefox

hi there,

 

i work on web app uses livecycle documents , itext, users have use acrobat reader open documents.  these documents work great on windows version of acrobat reader in major browsers (ie8/9/10, ff, etc.) adobe plugin, manually set default pdfs in browsers require it.  life good. 

 

there problems on mac, though.  particularly, plugin mac, in mozilla's words, "does not work" block plugin, according support document on mozilla's site:

what adobe doing fix this?  there plans?  these documents aren't quite working in adobe reader plugin safari, either - maybe post question once have more information.

adobe supports safari on mac. worth pursuing, firefox not.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
