Thread: additional places in datetime-indicator

hi all,

i'm sure stupid question it's been taking way time already....

i'm trying add other places in "datetime-indicator" applet, went menu enabled "show time in other places", clicked on "select places" -> utc pre-populated , that's fine... there half of timezones available... there sort of trick it?

i.e. try add san francisco when start typing @ least 20 suggestions pop none of them san francisco, los angels doesn't work either -> both of work on other laptop 11.04... (this fresh install of 11.10 btw)....

ideas? ... cause i'm running out...

checked /usr/share/zoneinfo/america/* , @ least los angeles there ....

toby

i able add los angels , appears below calendar . appears los angels major city represented california think because state has 1 time zone . chicago city listed area of country though don't live in illinois . part of central timezone though.

logout , in or restart , see if la appears . if have many locations keep track of gworld clock in software center worth try . have used before , no longer have need .
