Thread: Can't upgrade to 10.10 from 10.04

i've tried upgrade 10.04 10.10 several times using couple of servers after tool downloads authentication error server might not available or network problem might exist. have no network problems , have tried 2 servers it's else. i've looked around solutions , found one:

"updating (libreadline6) didn't help, building manually (md5: a3a5bf025a1b8df869f45f34098ffc6a rather 2569b5ed629a3e573b0a8f9ec23a37ff) , copying version /usr/local/lib/libreadline.so.6 worked!"

solution? if so, need detailed directions.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
