i parts , build custom desktop or laptop.
u tell me started?

i did this...it lot easier thought. first, need figure out want pc. do lot of gaming? internet stuff? use resource intensive programs? based on can figure out hardware suit needs , start comparing different models. there hundreds of guides out there...here few:

there thousands more. hardest part me choosing hardware. there many options out there can little overwhelming @ first. took me week of reading online product reviews , running around shops before decided on wanted.

once parts, matter of screwing things case , plugging in. part of took me couple hours.

in id great experience. leanred lot hardware , have super fast computer cost couple hundred dollars less similar pre-built pc have cost.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
