i using ubuntu diagnose errors on seagate disk. though did seagate test , passed, , ubuntu tells me disk healthy, when use disk utility, entries in red 'start / stop count' , result 'failing' , 'airflow temperature' , result 'failed in past'. disk on way out?

i can't in faith tell ignore disk utility messages -- there have been numerous instances warnings "false positives" and, in fact, nothing wrong drive.

use disk manufacturer's utility check out drive -- , since did , appears healthy, it's "false postive" disk utility.

said, it's idea have backups, because never know when going fail.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
