Thread: Multi-user photo and home video database?

hi,

girlfriend , trying manage photos 3 different cameras. have plugged ubuntu box , pulled folders, , pulled shotwell photo manager , tagged everything.

problem is, don't see how both of us, each different accounts different settings, can use same database.

must-haves:
  1. tagging.
  2. display of properties of photo (geographical location, time, f-stop, etc) , caption/description well.
  3. thumbnails
  4. the ability search on tags
  5. the ability export search external album.


cool if there sort of veto on deletion of photos. take pictures of white boards note-taking , other things need kept, , tends delete things because don't mean her.

recommendations?

in advance.

edit: oh yeah, prefer images stored in directories somehow, not in actual database.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
