Thread: Sound Card connection with dolby digital system

hello guys,

trying connect dvd audio system pc (ubuntu 10.04) have problems. using stereo jack 3.5 mm 6.5 mm mic input on dvd.

have few problems speakers:

1. 2 speakers work - maybe problem in software because remember when used windows xp there jack sense... think?

2. , second 1 noise in sound - mean sound isn't quality - maybe equalizer (the jack sense) can i'm not sure.

u think? problem in speakers, system or software?

problem having due headphone port on computer stereo output (ie l+r), simple fix may found audio setting ie stereo bypass (its not 5.1 or 7.1 make equal sound out of speakers. proper surround sound @ of computer see if have optical port, if may able connect surround sound system (sss) if sss supports optical in.

in regards second issue ie sound quality, down using microphone port on sss.

sounds of dvd sss may type has microphone port karaoke, , not have audio quality (cant without make , model number).
have @ of dvd if theres audio in port have better sound quality, audio in ports may have either 6 or 8 ports dependent on 5.1 or 7.1 should connect of pc via 6 3.5 jacks (if able use fiber optic not need this)
