Thread: Trouble installing game "Wakfu" on Ubuntu

hello. running ubuntu 11.10 on desktop. know little linux in general, have been interested in "open source" movement. since gamer well, never invested time or energy in linux because games wanted play on windows, or windows/mac.

has changed because game "wakfu" ankama games has linux version. if it's available on linux want try play on linux. game ran fine no problems on windows, ubuntu installer not launch properly. game installer here (if in us/canada):

used double clicking installer file , having installer opening. reason ubuntu getting white screen. file wants open program called "gedit." should using open kind of file?

can me wakfu running on ubuntu? now, if it's problem game that's fine, have feeling problem me not knowing how use ubuntu.

.sh file type shell script, not install double clicking (that opening in gedit - text editor).

instead, should run in terminal.

navigate directory file using cd - example if it's on downloads folder:

code:

cd ~/downloads

then run script

code:

sh wakfu-installer-linux-na.sh

if installer needs root permissions use sudo.
