Thread: Unable to mount iPod - No device found

ok, saw different thread ipod not working here steps there did not me. i'm hoping here can.

on other thread suggested to:

sudo apt-get install libimobiledevice2-dbg libimobiledevice-dev libimobiledevice-doc libimobiledevice2

, then:

idevicepair unpair && idevicepair pair


using linux mint 12 , getting message when plug in classic ipod , use "idevicepair unpair && idevicepair pair":

usbmuxd_get_device_list: error opening socket!
no device found, plugged in?

plugged in , i've tried locking , unlock, plugging , unplugging. nothing happens , can't mounted. i'm hoping knows solution issue. i'd appreciate , guidance.
