Thread: Using 10.04, installed xubuntu desktop last night, and now have no wireless

oh, attempts connect, doesnt. typing using ethernet connection. had deleted gnome network manager , switched wicd , working fine until installed xubuntu desktop.

how can fix this? laptop pretty pointless without wifi.

this might seem trivial did try switching network manager?
seem preferable buying 100-foot long ethernet cable

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
