How to get authorization?

i instaleed adobe digital editions in order read books downloaded ebsco host libraries on line.  authorized computer , had no trouble reading books.  tried transfer books nook , not work.  tried un-authorizaing , re-authorizing adobe digital editions.  tried uninstalling whole program , re-installing it.  won't let me read books on computer.  go around , around in circles.first  click on specific book , asked me authorize, authorize.  says book not associated id.  have tried un-doing , re-doing authorization, , password. have 2 questions.  1.  can able once again read books on computer?  2.  can able transfer books nook?

was initial authorization 'standard' adobe id authorization, or ebsco have own separate authorization?

if searpate authorization, afraid can't help.

for standard adobe authorization gets semi-authorized , sorts of odd things happen. try

1. completely deauthorizing (ctrl-shift-d ade,  cmd-shift-d on mac),
2. restarting ade,
3. authorizing again using menu/library/authorize computer
4. then trying read book.

did ever authorize nook?

while plugged in usb, , ade authorized adobe id menu/library/authorize device.

if nook has been authorized can confused well. similar above

with nook plugged in;

 

1. completely deauthorizing nook (ctrl-shift-e ade,  cmd-shift-e on mac),
2. restarting ade,
3. authorizing nook again again using menu/library/authorize device
4. copy book across
5. and try reading on nook.

there more extreme version of deauthorizing nook when things confused.  do  if above doesn't work.

1. using file manager such wundows explorer or mac finder
2. make sure can see hidden files , folders
3. if there folder name link '.adobe-digital-editions' on nook, rename
   (or computer , delete it)
4. start ade , authorize nook.

there bugs in ade2.0 mean won't work devices.  try 1.7.2 instead.

version 1.7.2, little difficult find, available on adobe site windows , mac.
