Illustrator: Expanding Blend Mysteriously Changes Shape

hi all!

 

my name alexis have blending problem (hiiii alexis...).

 

okay, seriously, i've used blend tool make series of lines between 2 other lines; need expand whole thing becomes fill-only object (no strokes):

 

- expand (object > expand; object box checked, fill box checked, stroke box checked) , object becomes strokes-only (no fill @ all)

 

- expand again (object > expand; object box greyed out, fill box checked, stroke box checked) , object becomes fill-only (yay!) except shape of lines has changed (boo!). unchecking stroke box , leaving fill box checked seems have no effect, object remains stroke-only).

 

what's going on here?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
