Thread: 11.10 Broke my system

i have been using ubuntu few years now, have dual boot system , lately have started use ubuntu have not booted widows in year.

has changed upgrade 11.04 11.10
in past, has worked fine after each system upgrade.

latest upgrade 11.04, no drivers installed wifi card or video card. did connected internet through ethernet cable, enabled restricted depository , needed drivers show in "additional drivers" in system settings.
after upgrading 11.10, repeated steps above, drivers not available.

starting regret upgrade, , using windows first time in year, ubuntu upgrade braking system.

if can't wifi , video drivers, goodbye ubuntu me.


system used: hp compaq nx9010

can post output of iwconfig , lspci command?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
