  • variety of bug fixes , code cleansing
  • two new maps
  • optimizations iqm , md2 rendering
  • new "ultra" skill level
  • speed hack detection improvements


version 7.53 features signifigant performance gains people run game on higher settings, nice improvements/bugfixes bot ai. have added 2 new maps, entity definition files allow custom reconfiguration of map's entities, plus number of other updates , bugfixes. complete changelog see http://icculus.org/alienarena/changelogs/7.53.txt

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
