Thread: Boot Ubuntu with Extlinux from a different partition

hi,

installed few variants of ubuntu (ubuntu oneiric ocelot 32bit being 1 of them) on different logical partitions, after installation ran fine grub2 bootloader.

have installed extlinux bootloader on separate primary partition (to boot oss from) , in extlinux.conf added parameters grub extlinux.

ubuntu seems have problem fact loaded different partition installation. kernel panic saying unable mount root fs , set root properly.

tried setting root uuid label, both without success.

pretty new appreciated! =)
ps: want stick extlinux (version 4.0.5) , dont want use grub2.

anyone can me?
