Thread: Disable apache directory browsing in ubuntu 11.10

hi,

have server 40.40.40.40 ip. when access http://40.40.40.40 lists virtual hosts directories. not want him !

followed several tutorials no 1 works me. many of them tell me change options indexes followsymlinks multiviews line in httpd.conf file options followsymlinks multiviews (remove indexes option).

problem ? httpd.conf blank. apache2.conf (intuition , not knowledge) , line not there.

ideas ? please help.

in advance !

look in /etc/apache2/sites-available/default

httpd.conf not used anymore , apache2.conf global settings, not vhost-specific settings.
